49237 Daily Express.1951. 1st ed (only ed) Wrapper covers,The programme is 84 pages with illustrated card covers, 20.5x13.5cm, some minor edge wear, last 20 pages have very small dog ear, crease to corner of rear cover, some minor soiling. Very rare programme for the Jubilee of the Royal Aero Club held at Hendon Airfield in July 1951. The programme is packed with contemporary advertising together with articles on aviation matters, an introduction by Lord Brabazon of Tara and an article on Astronautics by Arthur C. Clarke. Clarke's article is entitled " ASTRONAUTICS The dawn of Space-Flight ". It is 2 pages and has one illustration of a rocket plane. He is described as being the Chairman of the British Interplanetary Society and the author of Interplanetary Flight and Exploration of Space.
