48723 CTAV, Melbourne 1914 Original Invitation by the Commercial Travellers Association of Victoria, on the opening of the New Club in Flinders Street (Melbourne)by his Excellency the Governor Sir Arthur Lyulph Stanley K.C.M.G on Saturday, May 30th, 1914 at 3pm. Measures 21.5cm x 18cm, color litho, card thickness, worn condition with a 2.5cm closed tear to the top ledge, 4 tiny pin holes to the corners, dirt stain to the right side border just below the bug nibbled border, small surface bug nibble, two grey spots near and on the Ladies arm , couple of small border nicks and faint corner creases,the invite is square and no corner chips. Australian artist Howard Ashton is credited with the invite design (bottom right corner).
